About Kate:
Kate first began practising yoga in 2006 and, after two years of teacher training at the Bath Iyengar Yoga Centre with Richard and Kirsten Ward, qualified as an Introductory Level 2 Iyengar yoga teacher in 2016. She continued her yoga teacher training at home in Cornwall with Judith Van Dop, qualifying as a Junior Intermediate Level 1 Iyengar yoga teacher in 2019. Kate has always had a love of learning, and continues to expand her knowledge and experience, both as a practitioner and as a teacher, through regular ongoing training. Since qualifying, Kate has completed additional training in Yin Yoga and Teen yoga and is currently completing a further 300 hours of advanced yoga teacher training at The Shala Yoga Centre in London.
Kate has been teaching weekly yoga classes in both the Tate Gallery St Ives and the Carbis Bay Hotel for the past seven years. She also teaches yoga as part of the Carbis Bay Hotel’s coastal wellbeing retreats.
Kate made the transition into yoga teaching from being a primary school teacher. She has a calm, positive teaching style and she loves to share and learn about the practice of yoga with all who come to her classes.
